Serving God - What KCLC is all about
Beginning in his youth up to this present time, the ministry of praise and worship emanates through him. He migrated to Canada in 1990 and began serving in ministry not knowing the impact his ministry would have on the City of Toronto and the nation of Canada. R.J. Brown ministries, birthed in Europe, has expanded beyond the nation of Canada, being received throughout the United States and the Caribbean where he is known for delivering dynamic Word and Worship ministry.
His educational goals led him to Tyndale University College and Seminary where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Religious Education. Utilizing the education he received, Pastor Brown worked with the City of Toronto for many years as a Counsellor specializing in Chronic Substance Abuse and Addiction.
Affectionately known as “The Chief Levite,” Pastor Brown has written and produced many worship songs that continue to bless the Body of Christ around the world. His projects include his live debut recording “Heart of a Worshipper,” and most recently “Worship Without Apology”.
Pastor Richard J. Brown and his wife Paula are proud parents of four children: Monique, Jazmin, Daijohn and Xavier. The couple has also served as incredible mentors for many other children in the church and community.
First Lady Paula Brown
Paula Charmaine Brown, affectionately known as “Lady P,” is a native of Birmingham, England and a devoted wife and mother. Lady P and Pastor Brown were married in 1991 and are the proud parents of four children.
Paula received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in 1986 while in Birmingham England, and subsequently migrated to Toronto, Canada in 1990. The first lady is an integral part of the Leadership of Kingsway Community Life Centre, where she serves as a member of the Board of Directors and advisor to the Women’s and Children’s ministry.
After successfully completing the requirements of Early Childhood Education, Paula worked in a supervisory role at The Salvation Army in one of their childcare facility.
Paula embraces her multiple roles well and is committed to the fulfillment of the vision of Kingsway Community Life Centre – Loving you back to life and destiny.
Pastor Jermaine N. Spence
Jermaine Nathaniel Spence is the Associate Pastor of Kingsway Community Life Centre. Pastor Jermaine desires to see all people live out their God-given potential and to see the power of God operate in their lives.
Pastor Spence has several years of ministerial and professional experience. His credentials include many years of service as a Child and Youth Worker, thirteen years working in youth ministry and his current occupation as a Law and Mental Health Outpatient Worker.
In all his many successes, Pastor Jermaine most values his relationship with God and the love for his family: His wife Marlene and his three children Elias, Breanna and Justin. It is his love for God and his family that drives him to minister to those who desperately need to understand how the Gospel of Jesus Christ can change your life forever.
Pierre Antoine Thompson serves as the Youth Pastor at Kingsway Community Life Centre. The anointing on his life is shown by his passion for reaching this generation for the Kingdom of God. He places importance on creatively sharing biblical principles using real life experiences that can be understood by all generations.
Pierre is a passionate community advocate. He frequently gives inspirational talks at inner-city schools and youth-focused organizations. He also mentors youth and encourages them to make constructive life decisions. His educational goals led him to Niagara University, where he earned a Masters in Business Administration concentrating in Strategic Management.
The Elders Council
The Elders Council at Kingsway Community Life Centre gives spiritual oversight to the various ministries within the church. According to the New Testament, elders are responsible for exhorting and admonishing the saints in sound doctrine and praying for the sick. KCLC is blessed to have a team of passionate Elders who fully embrace their calling.
