Serving God - What KCLC is all about
What We Believe
We believe ~ the Bible is God’s revelation to humanity. It’s a supernatural book authored by God, arranged through selected persons by the process of inspiration. The Bible is the infallible word of God and possesses absolute authority, accurately revealing humanity’s purpose and destiny.
2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; Heb. 4:12-13
We believe ~ God is an infinite, unchangeable Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. From all eternity, He exists as One God distinctively in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Ps. 62:11; Matt. 28:19; John 14:7-11; John 16:12-15; Col. 2:9; Jude 1:25
We believe ~ Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived a perfect sinless life and voluntarily atoned for the sins of the world. By His death, burial and resurrection, He has reconciled to God all who declare faith in Him.
John 3:16; John 14:6; John 20:31; Gal. 4:4-5; 1 Pet. 2:21-25
We believe ~ in Jesus Christ, God comes face to face with all humanity; expressing His love, seeking their good and bearing their sin. In turn God claims their exclusive faith.
John 3:16-21; Acts 17:30-31; 1 Pet. 2:24
We believe ~ the Kingdom of God is sovereign and everlasting. We believe that God’s kingdom has come in the ministry of The Lord Jesus Christ, that it continues to come in the ministry of the Holy Spirit through the Church, and that it will be consummated in the visible and bodily appearing of Jesus Christ at the end of the age.
Matt. 4:17; Mark 1:14-15; Luke 1:28-33; John 16:13-14; Rev. 11: 15
We believe ~ the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the Church in power, baptizing believers into the Body of Christ; functioning as Helper, Teacher and Guide. The Holy Spirit brings the permanent indwelling presence of God to our spirit enabling spiritual worship, personal sanctification, edifying the Church and gifting us for ministry.
Luke 3:16; John 14:16-17, 26; John 16:13; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; 1 cor. 12:4-13
We believe ~ the Church is the totality of all believers of Jesus Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation, functioning as the dwelling place of God. The church gives visible and verbal manifestation to the Kingdom of God. The Church is comprised of those who have been redeemed by God. Membership is not received by ritual, or by ceremony, or by natural birth. It is received by confession of faith in Jesus Christ.
Matt. 16:18; Eph. 1:22-23; Eph. 2:19-22; Col. 1:17-20; Col. 3:14-16; 1 Pet. 2:9-10
We believe ~ Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: Water Baptism and Holy Communion. Both are available to all believers.
Matt. 28:18-19; Luke 22:18-19; Acts 2:38; 1 Cor. 11:23-26
We believe ~ God made humanity to love and glorify Him forever; that He cares for them as a compassionate father; and that nothing can either quench His love or defeat His purpose for all humanity.
